A recent study published in BMC Public Health indicates that coffee consumption may lower the risk of death associated with prolonged sitting. ☕️
The study, which included over 10,000 participants, discovered that individuals with sedentary lifestyles who drank coffee daily had a reduced risk of death from heart disease and other causes.
The most significant benefits were observed in those consuming more than 2.5 cups per day. Although the exact mechanisms behind coffee’s protective effects are still unknown, its antioxidants and potential to enhance metabolism and reduce inflammation may contribute.
