Former President Donald Trump offered free accommodations at the Trump National Doral in Miami, Florida, to 275 linemen from the Florida Power & Light Company in preparation for Hurricane Milton.
Eric Trump, Donald Trump’s son, posted a photo of the linemen on social media, expressing gratitude for their efforts. “Honored to have 275 incredible linemen from FPL at @TrumpDoral as they prepare to respond to the aftermath of Hurricane #Milton!” he wrote in a post on X on Wednesday.
“You are amazing, and the Trump family and the entire state of Florida appreciate you! Enjoy the rooms—they are the best in Florida! Be safe!” he added.
As Florida braces for Hurricane Milton, which is expected to make landfall on the western coast of the state Wednesday evening, Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) announced that over 50,000 linemen have been activated and pre-staged in preparation for the storm’s impact. These linemen will play a crucial role in recovery efforts, restoring power in the aftermath of the hurricane.
